Varda Burgers pilot branch in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila, was opened last November 2016. It is now a popular go-to-place of the PUP community. Thanks to their unique tasting burger and manner of cooking it, their signature burger offerings quickly hits off with their customers. “When we open our first branch in PUP, we wanted to make sure that our burgers would be made of high quality meat with a special sauce that cannot be matched by popular burger stores.” according to Varda Burgers, part-owner Chris Guarin. “We know the spending power of our target market so we made an extra effort that we offer high value products but still offer it at best price”, Guarin adds.

Customers who regularly queue on their PUP branch would often be heard praising the unique taste of the burger and its special sauce. First time patrons are also surprised about the price of the burger. For only 50 pesos, customer can already enjoy their Varda signature flamed burger with free iced tea and fries. “The meat we use are locally sourced in Batangas, we go direct to farms and do our own cold storage. In this manner we are able to screen carefully the source of the meat and because there is no middleman, we are able to negotiate straight to the farmers.” Guarin explains. “This is also our way of helping local meat producers, out little contribution to promote our locally produced meat that is comparable from the meat that are sourced offshore” Guarin says in closing.
